Create World
Media definitely influences our lives, and creates a world that we inhabit. The youth definitely encompass media into their world. What the media tells them to do they do. What the media tells them is cool, they need and want. Magazines and commercials are huge factors in the world we live in today. People get so consumed in the stories the media throws out. People are all so obsessed with getting the next and newest product out there. That has all to do with the media. It will go on and tell about the world’s newest product and make poeple feel like they need to have it or else they are not keeping up with the rest of the world. Media tells the people how to dress and what to look like. And people just go along with whatever it says. Media targets mostly youth, one because they are the next generation and two because they are gullible. Like I said before media tells people how to look, and most teenagers want to be in the normal, so they think what the media is telling them is the normal. For example, media is constantly giving teenage girls the message that they need to have a perfect body. Media sends this message every time a girl opens up a magazine or flips on the TV and see's this perfect woman having not one flaw. Well because that is being put into their heads, as a result if a teenage girl does not look that way, then they will feel inferior. Thus creating low self esteem and eating disorders. This happens to be a problem among the youth. Media, such as magazines, and commercials gives out messages to people, and the people follow what it says. I think people, especially young people pay more attention to media than anything else in the world, and let it influence their lives way more than it should.

LA Confidential
In this scene, I see a long white twisted sheet in the background. I think that captures the scene very well. It looks like a sheet that would be found on Lynn’s bed, symbolizing the fact that they are about to sleep together. It is also twisted, which is a good representation of this scene because here, they do end up sleeping together which is a plot twist, and creates more conflict within the movie because Ed here is working with Bud, and Bud is with Lynn. Also in the background over Ed’s shoulder you can see a picture of Veronica Lake. In this scene Ed saw her just for her beauty, in Ed’s mind she is Veronica Lake not Lynn. In the mirror you can see glimpse of light; it looks like two light bulbs on the same post. The light represents a dream or ambition. Here they are together, and they both have ambitions and dreams. Ed has an ambition to live up to his father, he wants to be just like him and fill his shoes. And Lynn came to La because she had a dream to make it in Hollywood.

Minority Report still image
The subject in this still image is the main focus in this shot is John and Agatha. Parts that draw my eye would be how he's holding her, just from this shot I can tell that he is literally supporter her, and without him there she would fall. They are the only ones not blurry in this photo. Everything around them is blurry and out of focus. Because of that my eye automatically is drawn to John and Agatha. John and Agatha are centered around this blurry mess. This image wants us to think how fast they are going, literally and figuratively. They are actually moving fast because they are running. But also i think it's representing how Agatha's mind works. Her brain is moving so fast because she's surrounded by all these people and she knows their fate. She also hasn't been outside the pre crime lab, so now she's conscious and trying to absorb what is happening and she is seeing things she is not used to. In the back of this still image the lighting is darker, there are shadows in the back. There is more light in the front like surrounding John and Agatha again drawing attention to them. I think the light is surrounding them because together they are finally finding the truth. John finds his truth that he is not a killer and the whole murder was set up, and he never would've known about any of it if it weren't for Agatha. Also without Agatha he probably would've killed leo. But Agatha kept telling him he had a choice. Without John Agatha never would have known that pre crime was flawed and she never would have found out what really happened to her mother. Without John finding out that pre crime is flawed Agatha at the end of the movie wouldn't have been in a peaceful cottage but she would've been back in the lab. So they brought out the truth with in each other. This shot I would have to say is a medium shot because it is from their waste up and you can see some of the background. It is Important that it is a medium shot because then we can see Agatha leaning against john and john having to hold her up. If it was just a close up on their faces we would see Johns face looking determined and Agatha's looking scared. But that wouldn't have been enough. The fact that we see John grabbing onto Agatha adds so much more to the shot. It shows that without John there Agatha wouldn't be able to survive being out of the pre rime lab for the first time. And it shows that John really needs her help by the way he's grabbing onto her so tightly. The medium shot really captures how much they need each other and how much they work off each other. You can clearly see John's watch in this shot. In this movie time was important, John had a certain amount of time until he was "destined" to kill leo crow. And now in this shot time is moving so fast. They have so much to do, and so little time because at any minute pre crime was going to find John.
